Which treatments are there?
There are various treatments which we offer to place veneers. The kind of treatment can be divided into two types: composite and porcelain (ceramic) veneers.

In case of composite veneers, the dentist has to polish less of the tooth than with a porcelain treatment. In addition, the duration of the composite treatment is generally shorter. In most cases you only have to visit us once for a treatment. The reason for this is that there is no need to make an impression, nor to process this in our dental laboratory. The choice of the eventual color is more predictable. Due to this the treatment costs are also lower.
What are composite veneers made of?
Our composite veneers are made of high-quality materials. We use the composite of 3M Espe filtek supreme XTE. This is a very high-quality worldwide used product with many possibilities. Of all composite materials, this composite give the most natural looks and the least discoloration.
What are the pros of composite veneers?
• Composite veneers are generally less expensive than porcelain veneers.
• In case of composite veneers, nothing to less of the tooth is polished. That’s why there is only one treatment needed for placing the veneer(s), in most cases.
• Composite veneers are easy to repair and to restore.
What are the cons of composite veneers?
• Composite veneers can get a dull appearance through which the looks become less natural. Composite itself has a more dull color than porcelain.
• The finishing of composite veneers do take place in one treatment, but in different phases. In every phase the dentist fills the tooth or molar with a piece of composite to create more details to its appearance.
• Composite veneers have a short lifespan. Of course, this does depend on the maintenance of the teeth and the dental care

We make our ceramic (porcelain) veneers of E-max ivoclar. This is a high-quality esthetic material which has been used successfully for many years. Moreover, our own dental-technical laboratory is equipped with all professional equipments to manufacture high-quality porcelain veneers.

Porcelain veneers are more expensive than composite veneers. The reasons for this are:

Are the costs of veneers reimbursed by the health insurer?
The costs for veneers are not covered within the basic insurance. Mostly, with a decent additional dental insurance the treatments are partially to completely covered. That’s why it is very important that you are well informed. Do you want to know whether you are eligible for reimbursements? Or whether you have an additional dental insurance? Then please contact your health insurance company.
Do you have an additional dental insurance at the moment and you wish to receive an indication? Then we would like to invite you to one of our clinics for consultation. During this consultation the dentist will make up a diagnosis. Based on this a dental treatment plan will be made. In case of no complications, you immediately receive a cost overview of your dental treatment plan.
